The Michigan State Flag Skull Grill Cover

The state of Michigan has help 3 official flags.  It wasnt until the Public act 209 in 1911 when the current state flag of Michigan was adopted.  The first flag Michigan had, displayed a portrait of of Michigan's first governor, Steven Thomas Mason on one side and the state coat of arms on the other side.  In 1865 the flag was changed in having the portrait of the first governor removed and replaced with the United States Coat of Arms.  Today's state flag depicts a shield with a lake, a yellow sun rising, and a man standing on a peninsula waving his right hand and holding a rifle in the other.  The shield is held by a Moose and a Elk while above a Bald Eagle grasps an Olive Branch in its talons.
