The Michigan Native Grill Cover 

The word Michigan is an Algonquian Indian word meaning "Big Lake".  This refers to Lake Michigan.  In the state of Michigan, there are 11 federally recognized Indian tribes.  6 are located in the lower peninsula and 5 in the upper peninsula.  These tribes are, the Bay Mills Indian Community, Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, Hannahville Indian Community, Huron Potawatomi Nation, Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, Lac Vieux Desert Band of Chippewa, Little River Bay Band of Ottawa Indians, Little Traverse Bay Band of Ottawa Indians, Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, Saginaw Chippewa Indian tribe, and Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewas.
