The Red-Eyed Tree Frog is part of the Amphibians family and is a carnivore.  They live in the wild to be around 5 years.  These rain forest inhabitants sleep during the day under leafs.  They cling to the bottom of of the leafs with their eyes closed and body markings covered.  When these amphibians become startled, they flash their red bulging eyes and reveal their large webbed feet and bright blue and yellow flanks.  This is done to startle the bird or snake and cause a pause in their reaction giving the frog a chance for escape.
