They build and they fight!  The Naval Seabees have been building entire bases since World War 2.  They have bulldozed and paved thousands of miles of roadway and airstrips along with a list of construction projects.  The first Seabees were recruited from civilian construction trades and were placed under the leadership of the Navy's Civil Engineer Corps.
