The Cassette Tape Grill Cover
The Compact Cassette, Musicassette (MC), audio cassette, or tape was created for audio recording and playback in 1962. It was released by Phillips and was developed in Hasselt, Belgium. The media type was magnetic tape and used an analog signal. A Cassette tape could typically hold 30 to 45 minutes of audio per side. The audio cassette was introduced to Europe on August 30th, 1963 at the Berlin Radio Show. It wasnt until 1964 when the cassette tapes landed in the United States. One of the major inventions was the Sony Walkman in 1979. This was a user friendly product where people could listen to audio tapes where ever they went. The cassette peaked in the 1980's and had a sharp decline in the early 90's because of the CD.
