The Don't Tread on Me Flag Skull Grill Cover

A patriot Colonel Christopher Gadsden of South Carolina created the Dont Tread on me flag after being inspired by Benjamin Franklin's Snake Metaphor, Join or Die flag.  He created the Dont Tread on Me flag to be used by the First American Navy, which he supported as well as paid for.  The flag later took on a new rold by the Virginia Culpeper minutemen who wrote the phrase Liberty or Death while printing it on a plain white field.
