The American Flag consists of thirteen horizontal bars.  The bars are colored red and white, alternating with each row.  The bars represent the Thirteen British colonies who declared their independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.  In the upper left corner is a blue rectangle with 50 stars in it.  These stars represent the 50 states of the United States of America.  Throughout the years there have been many changes to the American Flag.  There are currently 39 historical American flags that have flown and led America to Greatness.  

The Bald Eagle is a bird of prey found in North America.  Its a symbol of Freedom for the American People.  The Bald Eagle can be found near large bodies of water which carries a large supply of food.  They nest in large old growth trees at the top.  They mainly feed on fish but are considered to be an opportunistic hunter.  The fun fact is the female bald eagle is 25 percent larger than its male counterpart.  

The American Revolution was a conflict that lasted from 1775 to 1783 and allowed the thirteen colonies to remain independent from the Kingdom of Great Britain.  George Washington, and American Politician and soldier became the first President of the United States in 1789, serving 2 terms.
